The why…
Infinity was conceived in 1998 by Mr. Vishal Kochar, Director. Research indicated that in organized retail, dedicated customer service and superior product quality was where the future lay. A commitment was made that a brand would need to be created, exposing the Indian shopper to an international experience in gifting. Infinity Crystal was born initially consisting of Asfour Crystal from Egypt. Asfour Crystal marketed in India under the banner of Infinity Crystal, introduced us to a world of ‘perfect gifting’ for every occasion. Be it for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and even institutional awarding, Infinity Crystal had the solution. With this multicontinental trend making waves and the Indian customer lapping up this idea, conventional means of gifting began to lose its stronghold. Exclusivity, elegance and refinement were the mantras of the day. One international crystal source was not enough to satisfy the appetite of Infinity’s resolution to gifting excellence. So along came other brands like Nobless Crystal from Germany and S Dreams from the USA. Along with all this diversity and melange, Infinity also began its very own line of ‘Divinity Products’ Indian gods and goddesses etched in crystal cubes, pyramids and diamonds. Again, diamonds, sapphires and precious gems set in gold, silver and platinum was what the Indian woman was restricted to as far as ornaments were concerned. ‘Regular’ had become boring and the ‘usual’ was now dissatisfying. Designs were sedate and disproportionate pricing had become a ‘plague’. Infinity stepped in launching its jewelry range comprising of the Oliver Weber Collection from Austria, boasting of Swarovski components, chic designs and quality with no comparison. The USP for this product was excellent quality and longitivity and above all nickel free plating therefore making it anti allergic. Infinity’s lifestyle products had made their footing in the Indian market. Buyers were now being treated to ideas which were at par with their Western and European counterparts. A suitable gifting option was initiated and jewelry now appropriately could be rationalized into Trendy, Party and Casual wear. It is being said that ‘the Indian middle class never had things so good…’ Infinity fitted into that glove perfectly and elevated this experience to a whole level of exclusivity and panache.
